Tatevik Chubarian was born in 1983 in Dubna, Russia. She began to take violin and drawing lessons in the age of 6. In 1997 she entered the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music (class L.Shevrekuko), from which she graduated in 2002, with honours, as a violinist. From 2003 until 2009 she studied at the Moscow State Conservatory (class of Prof. A.Bogdanyan).
From 1999 to 2006 Tatevik was working as a violin teacher at the “Dubna Choral School of Boys and Young Men”. Among her pupils there are winners of several Russian regional competitions.
Tatevik gave numerous concerts both in Russia and in Europe as a solo violinist and also as a participant of chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestras. She is the recipient of several international music festivals' and competitions' awards.
During the time of her music studies Tatevik has also participated in Russian painting exhibitions.
At present, Tatevik is working as a violin teacher and giving concerts with musicians as a painter-improviser on concert stages of Russia and Europe.
Biography
In 2013, during the 5th Chamber Music Festival at Chambord (France), Tatevik embodied the idea of an «interaction between music and painting». The concept of joint improvisation combining live music and painting carries the idea that both are just two different languages, talking about the same things. The coherent synthesis of these two forms can therefore make the emotional perception of the art deeper. Also, the very fact that this improvisation is taking place during a live concert, on stage, is giving to the participants an additional opportunity for emotional interaction between them, which eventually could be valuable experience for both the audience and the performers.
